Taxonomic Certification Program exams will be offered on August 3, 2018, at the Highlands Biological Station (HBS) in Highlands, North Carolina (map).

Course Opportunities

John Morse, Ph.D., of Clemson University will teach an intensive two-week course, Southern Appalachian Mayflies, Stoneflies, and Caddisflies, worth four academic credits in the University of North Carolina system, transferable to other universities. Information about these course offerings can be found at http://highlandsbiological.org and http://highlandsbiological.org/summercourses/. Exam Opportunities

At the end of the session, Dr. Morse will give students the option to take either a practical examination to identify genera with specimens that he assembles or the SFS-TCP Group 2 EPT (East) exam.

  • Group 2 EPT (East) exams will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on August 3, 2018.
  • Dr. Morse is also willing to administer examinations for any SFS-TCP exam group for anyone (participants in the EPT course or not) beginning at 12:30 p.m. on August 3, 2018.
