Photo: Jeremy Monroe\, Freshwaters Illustrated\n\n\n\nQualified Professionals Invited to Take the SFS Pilot Exam This Spring and Get Certified\n\n\n\nStroud Water Research Center is offering a pilot (beta) test of the Society for Freshwater Science (SFS) Fish Identification Certification exam and is seeking qualified professionals to participate this spring. \n\n\n\nThis certification recognizes advanced knowledge of regional fish species and supports high standards in fisheries and aquatic science. Through the Taxonomic Certification Program\, the Stroud Center works with SFS to strengthen scientific rigor by advancing certified taxonomic expertise. DESCRIPTION:When: Monday\, July 20 to Friday\, July 24\, 2026. Drop-off is at 9 a.m.\, and pick-up is at 3:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nWhere: Stroud Water Research Center\, 970 Spencer Road\, Avondale\, PA 19311.\n\n\n\nCost: $400. One hour of before- and/or after-care for the week is available for an additional $50 each.\n\n\n\nLunch is not provided. Please pack a lunch and snack for your camper.\n\n\n\nRegistration information:\n\nCamp is limited to 25 campers.\n\n\n\nA minimum of 10 campers is needed to run the camp.
