DESCRIPTION:When: Wednesday\, February 26\, 2025. Doors open at 6 p.m. for light refreshments and hands-on activities. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. A virtual option will be available to registrants beginning at 6:30 p.m.\n\n\n\nWhere: Stroud Water Research Center\, 970 Spencer Road\, Avondale\, PA\n\n\n\nAudience: Anyone interested in learning about and protecting fresh water.\n\n\n\nCost: Free. Registration is required.\n\n\n\n\nRegistration for this event has closed. \n\n\n\nOver three days in late January 2025\, more than 300 volunteers braved the winter weather to collect stream water samples from nearly 600 locations. The data provide a fascinating and daunting picture of where excess road salt use is going. \n\n\n\nJoin us to hear the results\, participate in the discussion\, and learn ways you can help keep our fresh water … fresh!
