Employment Opportunity: Payroll/Requisitioning/AP/Administrative Assistant

Stroud Water Research Center seeks a highly motivated individual to work in the Finance & Administrative Department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Requisitioning/Accounts Payable/Receiving: Demonstrate proficiency in requisitioning, accounts payable and receiving while adhering to institutional policies. Maintain orderly composition of existing vendor database/relationships at the same time remaining cognizant of cost considerations/best price opportunities during the procurement process. Process all check requests. Prepare and file annual IRS 1099 reports. Manage petty cash account;
  • Payroll: Perform all related processing from time sheet submission to direct deposit/paycheck distribution on a semi-monthly basis, including employee reimbursements. Prepare and file quarterly Pennsylvania Department of Labor reports;
  • Personnel/Human Resources: Process all personnel changes and maintain employee files. Track employee leave and initiate all accrual changes. Maintain and reconcile all employer/employee paid medical, dental, life and disability benefits. Assist with annual open enrollment;
  • Other Administrative Tasks/Responsibilities: Maintain publications record. Maintain all maintenance/service agreements. Oversee archive room. Maintain monthly vehicle fleet activity. Maintain postage meter. Keep all required licenses and permits current. Maintain subscriptions file. Reconcile on-line contributions and other internal accounts monthly. Greet and direct visitors when necessary.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in payroll and accounts payable processing and all Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Word; excellent organizational skills and the ability to productively interact with a wide range of constituents.
