Science Education Feature: Caddisflies

800 411 Stroud Water Research Center

Learn about the ecosystem benefits of net-spinning caddisflies, as well as how they interact with their environment, from Ben Tumolo, a visiting Ph.D. candidate from Montana State University. Caddisflies are abundant in White Clay Creek, the Pennsylvania Exceptional Value stream that runs behind the Stroud Center.

You can watch lots of great videos about our freshwater research, education, and restoration work on our YouTube channel.

Give the Gift of Fresh Water

As you give thanks for the gifts in your life, we invite you to give the gift of water. Clean drinking water, good health, happy trout, productive soil, clean air, the simple joys of swimming, boating, fishing — our healthy freshwater ecosystems make these and so many other things possible.

Your donation today will help preserve and protect
the future of fresh water.
