In this workshop, participants will hear directly from elementary through high school educators who have created outdoor learning spaces at their schools, and from Stroud Center education staff. They will discuss the process of creating outdoor learning spaces, from design and building to lesson implementation.

Presenters will also share tips on how to get started, how to find funding, what design tools to use, and how to successfully communicate with key staff in the district.

Resources and a recording of the webinar will be shared after the workshop with all registrants.

  • Participants will receive information about tools and resources available for outdoor learning space design and implementation.
  • Participants will learn about successful models of increasing equitable access to meaningful outdoor learning spaces for teachers and their K–12 students through the design of the spaces.
