Avondale, Pa. – On Friday, June 19th, Stroud Water Research Center will host a Sustainable Feast featuring the season’s harvest and the artful cuisine of renowned chef, Bryan Sikora, of Kennett Square-based restaurant, Talula’s Table. The feast, the proceeds of which will benefit the Stroud Water Research Center’s Education department, is intended to celebrate local, sustainable agriculture and draw the connection between the requirements for clean, fresh water and a healthy watershed to produce our food.

Diners will be treated to a sumptuous, multi-course meal al fresco, created from the bounty of our local Chester County farmers. To call attention to the concept of “food at its source,” the dinner will be hosted in a field surrounded by seasonal crops.

Local sponsors of the evening include: Applestone Farm, Inc., Buck Run Farms, Dawson’s Seafood, Inverbrook Farm, Natural by Nature, P in the Pod, Inc., Phillips Mushrooms, Scarlett Thicket Farm, Mrs. & Mr. Trish Scott, SIW Vegetables, Mr. & Mrs. Morris Stroud, Talula’s Table, Va La Winery and Victory Brewing Company.
