Abstract

The Delaware River Watershed Initiative (DRWI) was  established to initiate actions that protect and restore  water quality within the Delaware River Basin. DRWI, working with a team of scientists and planners, developed a science-informed approach to prioritize investments, guide cluster plans, and facilitate the understanding of priority needs and decisions. This approach involved not only extensive monitoring and analysis, but also the development and use of new, innovative models and tools as decision support to help focus the limited resources.
