[Virtual Educator Workshop] Growing Up WILD With a MWEE Flair

- Location: Online via Zoom videoconferencing.
- Audience: College students who are education, early childhood, science, and natural resources majors interested in engaging early childhood audiences (ages 3-7); homeschool providers; classroom teachers; non-formal environmental educators; and early childhood educators welcome.
- Cost: FREE (includes Growing Up WILD (GUW) curriculum sent to each participant). Pre-registration is required. To receive a book prior to the live workshop, please register by Wednesday, October 27; later registrations will be accepted if seats remain, but a GUW book is NOT guaranteed to arrive before the workshop.

Are you looking for FREE lessons and skill-building to creatively engage early childhood audiences (ages 3-7) in nearby nature and backyard watersheds? Join Stroud Water Research Center, Pennsylvania State Parks, and Millersville University on Thursday, November 4, 2021, 5:30–7:30 p.m. EDT for a 2-hour virtual workshop on Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children Curriculum & Activity Guide! We will remotely explore the award-winning Growing Up WILD curriculum and learn how to lead Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) for little learners! Each participant will be mailed a FREE Growing Up WILD Activity Guide, which includes 27 field-tested, hands-on, nature-based activities with connections to art, reading, music, STEM, and so much more.
This online introductory workshop is designed for college students who are education, early childhood, science, and/or natural resources majors seeking real-world, resume-building experience in early childhood environmental education. The workshop is also open to homeschool providers, classroom teachers, early childhood educators, and non-formal environmental educators. 2 hours Act 48 available for PA Certified Teachers.
