This was a record-setting year for Stroud Water Research Center’s sixth Annual Fore Fresh Water Golf Invitational. On Monday, May 17, at the beautiful Bidermann Golf Course, 132 golfers, the most yet, participated in the event.
Golfers enjoyed a sunny 70-degree day on the green while supporting the Stroud Center’s mission to advance knowledge and stewardship of fresh water. Volunteers from Resolution Life and Chatham Financial helped check in the golfers and hand out beverages throughout the course. Foursome Anthony Diver, Jimmy O’Connor, Zach Paris, and Joe Paris scored an impressive 16 under par for the win!
After play, golfers and guests enjoyed cocktails on the terrace under a twilight sky at the historic farmhouse restaurant on the golf course. Dave Pro, local archer and land steward for Delaware Nature Society, helped choose the winners of the 50/50 raffle.
