bctv.org: Stroud Water Research Center employees were interviewed while monitoring Hay Creek during their annual Schuylkill River Watershed monitoring.
Some of the macroinvertebrates that were found in Hay creek were Hellgrammites (dobsonfly larva) and various assortments of other flies such as the mayflies. Mayflies are very sensitive to pollution, and are a good indication of a healthy creek.
