Despite the gorgeous weather at the beach, a great turnout showed up at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery on Saturday, August 20 to learn about the Stroud Center’s work throughout the state of Delaware.
Director Bern Sweeney, Ph.D., and Entomologist John Jackson, Ph.D., talked about the Stroud Center’s work from White Clay Creek in northern Delaware to stream sensors that were installed in backwater lagoons near Bethany. Most of our work throughout the Delaware region is in partnership with other organizations like The Nature Conservancy – Delaware and the Delaware Center for Inland Bays, among others.
In addition to the informative lecture, guests enjoyed a variety of beers and local foods from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. We are so grateful to Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Beer and Benevolence for allowing us the opportunity to share our science along the coast! You can read more about the lecture in the Cape Gazette and join us as we take the Science Seminar Series on the road once again to The Union League of Philadelphia on October 19.
