Stroud Water Research Center is pleased to welcome Rodman Moorhead IV into service with its board of directors.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Rod Moorhead III, who dedicated more than 20 years of steady leadership as chairman of the board, Mr. Moorhead brings a wealth of investment experience to the Stroud Center. He is a portfolio manager at Tocqueville Asset Management LP, an independent asset-management firm based out of New York, and he holds responsibilities within Multi-Cap Equity and International Multi-Cap Equity strategies.
Executive Director David Arscott, Ph.D., is ecstatic: “To know that our current board members are sparking an interest in the next generation reinforces the breadth of the Stroud Center’s influence and purpose. Rodman’s father, Mr. Rod Moorhead III has a passion for Stroud Water Research Center that runs deep. I speak for all of our board members when I say that it is an honor to invite Rodman IV to share his individual expertise and leadership as we move forward.”
Moorhead said, “As a father of two young children, environmental stewardship is increasingly and inextricably linked to securing a future for coming generations. Like many environmental issues, the value of freshwater systems too often becomes apparent in retrospect, only after the resource has become endangered. I see the Stroud Center’s research as vital in this respect, and I am excited to be a part of such a legacy.”
Prior to joining Tocqueville, Mr. Moorhead worked at Bourgeon Capital Management in Connecticut, while also tutoring academically at-risk children. He holds a B.A. in studio art from Harvard and an M.B.A. from Columbia. His passions include painting, cooking, golf, skiing, and spending time with family. Mr. Moorhead also serves on the board of trustees for Upland Country Day School, located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
