Interests and Expertise
Amanda Garzio-Hadzick’s formal training is in soil ecology and soil morphology, but her career in environmental conservation has spanned a wide array of fields, including agriculture, water quality, green stormwater infrastructure, and field research on the Chesapeake Bay. She is passionate about the intersection of research and conservation implementation, which is her favorite part of working at the Stroud Center. Born and raised in the coal region of Pennsylvania, she has a deep appreciation for the connection between communities and the outdoors.
