Interests and Expertise
Suzan McLaughlin joined Stroud Water Research Center’s Education Department to share her passion for the natural world, especially aquatic ecosystems. This could not be more timely as recent flooding events have made students much more aware of the perils of mismanaged watersheds. McLaughlin has had work published in The Pennsylvania Geographer, the journal of the Pennsylvania Geographical Society, and at Tyler Arboretum for innovative trail design that limits impact on the landscape by designating trails for active or passive use depending on the topography present.
