School-Days-Off Camp: Animals All Around

June 12, 2026 , 9:00 AM 3:30 PM EDT

School-Days-Off Camp: Where Days Off Become Days of Discovery.

When schools are closed, Stroud Water Research Center is open for young nature explorers. Our School-Days-Off Camps invite third- through fifth-grade students to spend a fun-filled day outdoors along White Clay Creek. Each camp features a unique theme with nature-inspired crafts, hands-on science experiments, and outdoor adventures that spark curiosity and wonder.

The theme for the June School-Days-Off Camp is Animals All Around. Campers will learn about animals native to southeastern Pennsylvania, including insects, birds, and fish. Campers will hike through the Stroud Center’s forest, searching for signs of local wildlife, make crafts related to native animals, and perform hands-on experiments to learn more about these animals.
