The application deadline for the teacher stipends has passed.
$300.00 stipends are available for Pennsylvania practicing teachers to attend the 2018 Dive Deeper Water Educators Summit. The September 20, 2018 event is a gathering of water educators in the Mid-Atlantic Region where knowledge and resource sharing is paired with networking opportunities. This fourth biennial summit, hosted by Penn State Extension, will be held at The Central Hotel & Conference Center in Harrisburg.
17 Pennsylvania K-12 teachers will be awarded stipends to attend the event. Stipends are available as part of the professional development and outreach initiatives of the NOAA funded (Grant #NA17NMF4570274) Pennsylvania Environmental Literacy and Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEE) Programming Capacity Building project.
Selected teachers will be notified in early August — in time to register for the early bird rate deadline of August 20. Stipends will be paid after attending the event. Awardees will need to complete a short post-summit online survey in order to receive their stipend.
