Earth Day Celebration: A Streaming Perspective

800 450 Stroud Water Research Center

Webinar attendees participated from 20 U.S. states and Costa Rica.

The 50th anniversary of Earth Day required celebrating at a safe social distance due to the COVID-19 crisis. In a virtual celebration of the anniversary, Stroud Water Research Center Senior Research Scientist John Jackson, Ph.D., discussed the importance of Earth Day from the perspective of a stream.

We were joined on this webinar, recorded on April 22, 2020, by people from 20 U.S. states and Costa Rica. We thank them for celebrating with us!

We hope to offer more webinars soon and look forward to resuming our in-person events when the crisis passes. Visit our events page for the most up-to-date information.

Give the Gift of Fresh Water

As you give thanks for the gifts in your life, we invite you to give the gift of water. Clean drinking water, good health, happy trout, productive soil, clean air, the simple joys of swimming, boating, fishing — our healthy freshwater ecosystems make these and so many other things possible.

Your donation today will help preserve and protect
the future of fresh water.
