Both two- and four-legged attendees had a great time at Trail Creek Outfitters’ 14th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival. A break from the mid-winter indoor tradition, this year’s event took place outside at Brandywine Red Clay Alliance’s Myrick Conservation Center in the amphitheater with a virtual option to accommodate our friends who were not able to attend in person.
Other than a chill when the night air set in, it was a beautiful fall evening enjoyed by all who attended to support three organizations: Brandywine Red Clay Alliance, The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County, and Stroud Water Research Center.
Attendees enjoyed music from The Late Ambitions and browsed the wonderful raffle items including large mums from Pete’s Produce, a Pendleton Wool blanket, a “no waste” basket from Harvest Market, bracelets from Anna Bird Beads, and more.
The films began as the sun was setting and the 2021 film lineup included twelve short films and documentaries produced by independent filmmakers from all over the world. The films included topics of conservation, adventure, land and water preservation, and Black, Indigenous, and people of color-led stories.
We are so grateful to our friends at Trail Creek Outfitters who continue to be more than a store as they find ways to support our community amid these trying times!
We would like to give a big thank you to the many sponsors, attendees, and in-kind donors who supported our event this year.
Did you miss the event but still want to do something to support all three organizations? Don’t delay! Check out this amazing Wild & Scenic Film Festival Flavors of Autumn box curated by our friends at Taste Local Eats. $25 from the purchase of each box benefits the film festival organizations and supports ten local businesses. Box available through October 15. (Yes, that means today!)
Whether we find ourselves indoors or out, we look forward to celebrating with you in 2022. Be sure to visit our events page to see what else we have in store for 2021 and beyond!
