Research Behind Riparian Buffer Standards
The Stroud Center helped shape widely used riparian buffer guidance across Pennsylvania and the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Findings showing that streamside forests are needed to protect stream health have been cited by the Chesapeake Bay Program, conservation planners, and state stream-protection guidance.
