Watershed Education Specialist
Presented in Partnership With the Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited and the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission
This workshop will be an introduction to Trout in Classroom for new teachers and program partners and a refresher for those that have been involved with the program in the past.
Her personal mission is to foster hands-on freshwater science education that teaches us about ourselves as well as our backyard water resources.
The outdoors were the setting for a boots-in-the-water workshop to advance professional development for non-formal educators and classroom teachers alike.

The students expressed interest in the story water-quality testing told as they traveled down the river from the mines, through the farms, and into Philadelphia.
Teachers experienced STEM education in a real-world setting giving them the tools to cultivate the next generation of freshwater stewards.
Application deadline has passed. 17 Pennsylvania K-12 teachers will receive a $300 stipend to attend the 2018 summit.
