Stroud Water Research Center’s Education Department brings boots-in-the-water stream ecology programming to more than 3,000 K-12 public school students each year through the generosity of businesses who participate in Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
A core goal of our program is to create environmentally literate and responsible citizens to improve and conserve our freshwater resources. Students’ visits with us often shed light on their ability to make sound and positive choices for rivers and streams, locally and globally.
If you or someone you know owns a participating EITC EIO business and would like to support our STEM-based programming for students, please contact Director of Education Steve Kerlin, Ph.D., or Director of Development Jessica Provinski.
