Join us for a screening of the award-winning short film, Salted Earth, exploring the effects of climate change, sea level rise, and salinization on the Delmarva Peninsula. The event is a collaboration between Stroud Water Research Center and our partner, the Delaware Environmental Institute (DENIN) at the University of Delaware.
After the film, a panel of experts from DENIN and the Stroud Center will engage with the audience and offer insights into the local work underway to protect and improve our waters.
About the Partnership
DENIN and the Stroud Center are linked through our people — colleagues working together for research and education — and also by the focus of what we study. The Stroud Center’s emphasis on freshwater science starts in the headwaters and extends downstream toward the coast. Much of DENIN’s research focuses on coastal systems, extending from the ocean and estuaries to marshes and tidal streams that are fed by upland freshwater. Together we work to understand and protect our water quality and fragile aquatic ecosystems.
