Avondale, Pa. – Stroud Water Research Center and partners are hosting workshops in Berks and Lebanon Counties focused on conservation, stream protection, and funding opportunities.

What: Productive Farms and Healthy Streams Workshops
Where and When: Two locations (guests are encouraged to attend 1 workshop):
- March 31 – 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Blue Mountain Family Restaurant, 24 Roadside Drive, Shartlesville, PA. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m.
- April 2 – 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Dutch-Way Market and Family Restaurant, 649 East Lincoln Avenue, Rt 422 East, Myerstown, PA. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m.
Why: An opportunity for farmers and rural landowners to learn how conservation projects and forested buffers can restore their streams to healthier conditions. Healthier streams, in turn, can generate new income to landowners while delivering cleaner water to livestock and communities downstream. Speakers will also discuss sources of funding and technical assistance.
