Why: “Watermark” is a timely and urgent reflection on one of the world’s most precious and essential resources. The feature documentary explores the massive impact human intervention has had on the world’s water supply with images of astonishing—and sometimes terrifying—beauty. Award-winning documentary filmmakers Jennifer Baichwal and Nick de Pencier and acclaimed environmental photographer Edward Burtynsky bring together diverse stories from around the globe about our relationship with water: how we are drawn to it, what we learn from it, how we use it and the consequences of that use. Run time: 92 minutes, Rated PG.
