In 2021, Emily Ford set out to thru-hike Wisconsin’s 1,200-mile Ice Age Trail in winter in subzero temperatures, becoming the first woman and person of color to complete this challenge. Breaking Trail is an award-winning 30-minute film that shares the story of Ford’s adventures along with her borrowed sled dog Diggins. After the film, attendees will have the opportunity to hear about Ford’s experiences firsthand, and then participate in a Q&A.
