Stroud Water Research Center is developing a solar-powered, low-cost water-level monitoring system for the U.S. Geological Survey to enhance flood warnings and infrastructure management. Using EnviroDIY technology, the system will relay real-time data to the Monitor My Watershed portal, both part of the Stroud Center’s WikiWatershed Toolkit. Its open source design is more cost-effective than conventional systems, aiming to inspire innovation and adaptation across the open source community.
