Stroud Water Research Center was grateful for the recent Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) contribution of First Resource Bank to our environmental education programming. The EITC program allows Pennsylvania-based businesses and Special Purpose Entities (SPE) to receive generous tax credits by contributing to qualified educational organizations.
The environmental education team has stayed active during the pandemic by transitioning to smaller, outside, in-person classes and offering virtual programming to teachers across the state and beyond. While we miss seeing the smiling faces of hundreds of students at the Stroud Center on a beautiful spring day, virtual learning has given us the opportunity to share our science with more classrooms and students than before, including those unable to travel to our campus due to budget and time restrictions within their school district.
