Radnor Middle School Students Bring Creativity, Curiosity to Watershed Studies
As part of their Watershed Integrated Learning Program, Radnor Middle School students visited Stroud Water Research Center in fall 2025 for a stream study program. Using 8-foot watershed models, they investigated how impervious surfaces, agriculture, and forests influence water runoff. Students also toured the LEED Platinum-certified Moorhead Environmental Complex, drawing inspiration from its sustainable design as they planned and built their own model houses and communities.

The Poster Challenge
During their visit, students conducted stream studies in White Clay Creek and used the Stroud Center’s online resources to sketch and study the macroinvertebrates they found. Working in small groups, they were challenged to create informational posters.
We are proud to showcase their creativity, curiosity, and scientific understanding through a special exhibition at our campus and in the photo gallery below.

Resources and Tools That Reach Around the World
The Stroud Center’s research doesn’t stay in the lab. Through free and low-cost tools, data platforms, and educational resources, we help people around the world understand, monitor, and protect freshwater ecosystems. In the past year alone, Stroud Center resources were accessed in more than 40 countries.
