Earth Week Volunteering

April 17 April 19 EDT

A large group of volunteers from Exelon plant trees in a riparian buffer.
  • When: April 17, 18, and 19 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. each day.
  • Where: A tributary of Red Clay Creek in East Marlborough Township, Pa. Exact location will be emailed to you upon registration.

Help us plant trees for clean water! We have an entire week of opportunities lined up — if you don’t see an opportunity below that fits your schedule, email Jessica Provinski for other options. 


Layout Day 

Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Help us place trees, stakes, and tubes in the appropriate spots to prepare for planting!

  • Wear: Sturdy waterproof shoes and long pants.
  • Bring (if possible): Work or gardening gloves.

Planting Day

Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Help us plant hundreds of native trees for healthy streams. Families welcome!

  • Wear: Sturdy waterproof shoes and long pants.
  • Bring (if possible): Work or gardening gloves, shovels with pointed tips, hammers.

Wrap-Up Day

Friday, April 19, 2024 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Help ensure the success of the tree planting by installing bird nets, applying stone mulch, and cleaning up. Families welcome!

  • Wear: Sturdy waterproof shoes and long pants.
  • Bring (if possible): Work or gardening gloves, shovels with pointed tips, hammers.
