Free Introduction to Canoeing and Fishing

  • Date and time: Saturday, August 14, 2021. Each sign-up slot is for one hour, beginning on the hour. The first slot begins at 10 a.m. and the last slot begins at 2 p.m.
  • Location: Marsh Creek State Park, Downingtown, PA, east entrance.
  • Audience: Anyone age 10 and up!
  • Cost: FREE.

New to boating and/or fishing? Join on this FREE opportunity to learn about canoeing and/or fishing from experts at Stroud Water Research Center, Marsh Creek State Park, and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.

Sign up at the registration table (look for signs to follow in the parking lot) for hourly slots. Attend a mini canoeing and /or fishing 101 session, then try it out for yourself!

Boats, life jackets, and dry bags will be provided for canoeing, and all fishing gear will be provided for the angling experience. Attend either or both sessions.
