STREAM Girls Patch Program

When: Saturday, August 17 – Sunday, August 18, 2019
Where: Stroud Water Research Center, Avondale, PA

This 2-night overnight program for 4th through 8th grade Juniors and Cadettes in southeast PA will engage Girl Scouts in watershed education and coldwater conservation through hands-on activities in science, technology, recreation, engineering, art, and math (STREAM). Together, we will explore stream habitats, discover wriggling aquatic insects, collect real scientific data, learn fly-tying and casting from lifelong anglers, and camp under the stars at a science research center! Program costs include pizza dinner on Saturday, professionally bound field notebooks, a “swag” bag of water education freebies, and TWO unique patches: the STREAM Girls Fun Patch and the Stroud Center Education Programs Fun Patch. *Registration for STREAM Girls is by invitation ONLY. Girl Scouts have been recruited at the troop level with a maximum of 20 scouts, and all applicable troops have been contacted with an invitation to register online.*
