The Pennsylvania Recreation & Park Society and the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators are excited to announce a new partnership — the 2020 PRPS/PAEE Joint Conference & Expo — that will combine two conferences to provide new opportunities to learn from a broad network of outdoor professionals.
- Visit more than 100 vendors of products and services in the Expo Hall.
- Network with over 500 people involved in the broad field of recreation, parks, environmental education, and conservation.
- Attend educational sessions on the following tracks: professional development, urban recreation, park resources, trails and facilities, aquatics, programming, social media and marketing, inclusion and accessibility, directors, and environmental education.
Stroud Water Research Center is pleased to announce that 15 certified Pennsylvania K-12 classroom teachers and/or school administrators will be awarded stipends to attend the conference. Stipends will cover conference registration fees; travel and lodging not included.
Stipends are available as part of the professional development and outreach initiatives of the NOAA funded (Grant #NA17NMF4570274) Pennsylvania Environmental Literacy and Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEE) Programming Capacity Building project.
Stipends will be paid after attending the event. Awardees will need to complete a short post-summit online survey in order to receive their stipend.
Stipend application period will open in December.
