Soil Health Field Day at Stroud Preserve

Stroud Preserve is owned by Natural Lands, and we thank them for hosting this event.

Date and time: Wednesday, August 25, 2021, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: Stroud Preserve, 449 Lucky Hill Rd, West Chester, PA 19382. Please do not park at any other entrance to the preserve.
Audience: Farmers and general public.
Cost: FREE, includes lunch. Limited to 50 participants.

The event will feature soil health and water quality research as part of a six-year project comparing organic, conventional, and conservation farming systems. Scientists from Stroud™ Water Research Center and Rodale Institute will discuss and demonstrate various measurements and instruments in-field, below ground, and in-stream. We will also discuss organic versus conventional farming issues, as well as the restoration of streamside forest buffers.

Dress for the weather. Some walking will be required, although some participants can ride in a provided vehicle.
