Many Chester County residents know and love Natural Lands’ Stroud Preserve, but did you know the preserve also serves as an agricultural research laboratory? Stroud Water Research Center and the Rodale Institute have partnered to test four different agricultural methods ranging from conventional farming to organic and conservation farming techniques in a side-by-side comparison to measure these farming practices’ impact on soil health and water quality. This unique and informative tour will be led by Stroud Center staff. Sturdy shoes are recommended for areas of rough terrain.

Directions and Parking
Use the private entrance to the preserve located at 449 Lucky Hill Road. Follow the long gravel driveway through the preserve until you see tour attendants guiding you to park along the side of the driveway.
