What do best management practices (BMPs), buffers, and bugs have to do with great beer? You will find out as John Jackson, Ph.D., and Lamonte Garber discuss the health and restoration efforts of Valley Creek and the surrounding watersheds while we enjoy locally made Victory beer. You’ll learn about:
- The relationship between scientific research and watershed restoration at Stroud Water Research Center.
- Our support for whole farm conservation that includes BMPs, buffers, and soil health, and why we include trees in every project.
- How aquatic insects tell a stream’s story.
- The history of conservation work in Valley Creek (with Victory’s brewery in the headwaters) and thoughts for future work in this watershed.
